Code of Conduct

ZOOM CLASSROOM PARTICIPATION CODE OF CONDUCT

At Masterprep academics we are dedicated to providing a meaningful learning experience, in a safe and productive atmosphere, for all students. 

Registering for any review session or tutoring session will serve as an acknowledgement that you have read and understand the underlying rules and expectations for participation. 

If a students conduct is in violation of any aspect of the code of conduct they will be immediately removed from the classroom. If a student if removed from the classroom due to code of conduct violations there will be no refund of payment for the session.

IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN REVIEW OR TUTORING SESSIONS TAKING PLACE IN A ZOOM CLASSROOM,  STUDENTS MUST:

1. Be on time to Zoom sessions. Students must be in the waiting room at the time the session is scheduled to begin.  No students will be admitted after 10 minutes past the established start time.  No refund will be given for missed class sessions or sessions where students are in excess of 10 minutes late.

2. Dress appropriately for Zoom sessions.  Students must be fully dressed in clothing that would be considered appropriate for an in-person classroom setting.

3. Have their video on at all times. Student video may not be turned off at any time, and students must be present in the classroom at all times.  Students are expected to have their entire face in the viewing window and must look into the camera when talking.

4. Interact with the teacher and classmates appropriately. Rules of basic respect and behavior that would apply to an in-person learning environment are expected in the zoom classroom.  If a student uses inappropriate language or acts in a disrespectful manner towards the teacher or classmates, they will be removed from the classroom immediately.

5. Remain on mute, and always be attentive and respectful,  while the teacher or other classmates are speaking.

6. Use the chat area or the “raise hand” feature to ask a question.

7. Utilize a quiet area with good lighting available to participate in the classroom session.

8. Use appropriate zoom backgrounds if you choose to use the background feature.

9. Remember that recording a zoom classroom session is prohibited.

10. Remember that taking screen shots or pictures of the teacher or anyone else in the classroom is prohibited.

A REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS AND PARENTS:

Student violation of any part of the code of conduct will result in immediate removal from the classroom.

 If a student is removed from the classroom due to code of conduct violations, there will be no refund of payment for the session.
